Instructions for use

Instructions for use with leather or synthetic pads (soles):
Clean the foot and trim the hoof. Fill the sole with Sole Pack Hoof Packing paste. Work the paste into crevices and cavities with your fingers. Place the pad and shoe on the hoof.

For application under a bandage:
Clean the foot. Fill the sole with Sole Pack Hoof Packing paste. Work the paste into crevices and cavities with your fingers. Cover with a sheet of paper and a bandage or polypropylene wrap. If necessary, use reinforced adhesive tape (e.g., "duct tape") to hold the bandage or wrap in place.

Treatment duration:
Sole Pack Hoof Packing paste can be left in place overnight for a maximum of 18 hours. After this time, remove the product and re-examine the foot. If a plug has formed at the back, it can also be opened for examination. If the paste has dried, it should be replaced or can be rehydrated by adding Sole Pack Liquid. Rapid drying of the paste indicates that the healing process is underway and requires monitoring. Sole Pack Hoof Packing paste can be reapplied daily until all signs of infection disappear or until the desired hoof flexibility is restored. Thereafter, Sole Pack Hoof Packing paste can be continued two or three times a week. The total treatment duration should not exceed six weeks.

Hawthorne Sole Pack Medicated Hoof Packing is designed to relieve sensitive hooves while helping to maintain healthy, supple horn. Its therapeutic formula works quickly to soothe sore, overheated, dry, or overly hard feet, while helping to prevent and treat common hoof conditions.

Thanks to its fibrous texture, the paste stays in place in the hoof. With each step the horse takes, it gradually releases its active ingredients for continuous action. It helps maintain balanced moisture levels, softening hooves that are too dry or firming those that are too soft.

Its formula notably contains iodine, pine tar, ichthammol, and other natural ingredients known for their antiseptic, antifungal, emollient, and soothing properties. It helps combat thrush, white line disease, and localized bacterial and fungal infections. It also promotes the dissipation of heat, abscesses, and inflammation while providing rapid relief from pain caused by bruises, sensitive hooves, or a short trim.
