There are 3 cartridge sizes: 50 CC, 60 CC, 85 CC to choose from depending on the size of your inflatable jacket.

Choose the correct size; please refer to our size chart.

To find out the size of your cartridge, please refer to the label affixed to your vest or lining.

In case of a fall, replace the empty cartridge with a new one of the same capacity from the Helite brand.

You should always use a Helite brand cartridge for your Helite airbag system.

WARNING , some retailers offer CO2 gas cartridges at advantageous prices.

  • You should not use these cartridges for various reasons:
    technical compatibility issue (different gas volume, screw thread, etc.)
  • inferior quality compared to Helite cartridges (seal, corrosion, fragility, etc.)
  • loss of CE certification of the product
  • The proper functioning of the airbag system is not guaranteed.

The CO2 cartridge can be replaced easily and quickly. The system can be reactivated by yourself in minutes without any special knowledge required. The size of the cartridge is proportional to the size of the airbag.

One cartridge is always included with your airbag. We recommend having a spare cartridge that you can quickly replace in case of a fall.

For safety reasons, we ask that you have your airbag checked annually:

  • Unscrew and weigh your CO2 cartridge on a scale. Please ensure that it is approximately +/- 3g for 50CC and 60CC cartridges or +/- 5g for 100CC cartridges, according to the weight indicated on your cartridge (Helite sticker on the cartridge).

Please find below some precautions for your cartridges:

  • Use only Helite brand cartridges.
    The cartridge is for single use only. You must replace the cartridge with the same type after each inflation.
  • If rust or other signs of corrosion appear on the outer surface of the cartridge, replace it immediately and contact us.
  • The cartridge must be stored and used at temperatures below 45°C.
  • Do not expose full cartridges to high temperatures for extended periods (in direct sunlight, near a radiator, etc.).
  • The cartridge must be used at a temperature above 0°C. If stored at a temperature below 0°C, warm it before use or replace it with a cartridge stored at room temperature.
  • Avoid impacts on the cartridge, as this could damage it.
  • The used or damaged cartridge must be recycled or disposed of in accordance with the legislation of your country.
