Soak the leather in cooking oil before first use. Moisten before each session. Clean thoroughly after each use to maintain the leather's suppleness.

The beris SOFT leather bit is designed to offer an even softer and more welcoming contact for sensitive horses. The supple leather naturally stimulates chewing and encourages regular salivation. The all-natural material becomes even more flexible when moistened, molding to the shape of the horse's mouth and significantly improving comfort.

This bit is ideal for young horses, horses in rehabilitation, or those that have difficulty accepting a traditional bit. Its flexibility promotes confidence and helps the horse relax more easily. The 7.5 cm loose ring allows for greater mobility in the mouth, making it suitable for horses that prefer a more flexible bit.


The rings slide smoothly within the copper sockets. This design allows for a fluid and even action between the rider's hands and the horse's mouth. Each Beris bit is handcrafted in Germany. The metal parts are individually formed, welded, and polished to ensure superior quality.

IMPORTANT BEFORE FIRST USE:

  • Soak the bit for a few hours in cooking oil. Repeat this process as soon as the leather appears dry. Briefly soak it in clean water before each use and clean it thoroughly afterward, as saliva can damage the leather.
