The Waldhausen Sweet Iron D-Ring single-jointed anatomical bit (reference 6534216) is a riding bit designed to offer precise control without compromising the horse's comfort. Its D-Ring shape ensures the bit cannot slip out of the mouth, guaranteeing optimal stability. Thanks to its anatomical mouthpiece, it conforms to the shape of the horse's tongue and bar for gentler, more even pressure.

This bit is made of Sweet Iron , a blue steel that oxidizes slightly upon contact with ambient moisture, producing a beautiful brown-grey patina. This superficial oxidation stimulates the horse's salivation, promoting better acceptance and a gentler contact. The single joint in the center allows for even pressure distribution while maintaining moderate aids.

With a 16mm thickness and 7.5cm diameter rings, this bit is suitable for a wide range of horses. It's ideal for disciplines where moderate contact is desired: light dressage, lungeing, trail riding, or everyday use. The strength of the blue stainless steel, combined with its ability to develop a slight rust that stimulates salivation, makes it a popular choice for riders seeking a technical yet gentle bit.
