Camelina and vitamin E
Camelina has a high level of natural antioxidants in the form of vitamin E.
Camelina oil is composed of the following elements:
- Linoleic acid AL (omega 6): approximately 20%;
- Alpha-linolenic acid ALA (omega 3): approximately 40%;
- Oleic acid;
- Vitamin E (a natural antioxidant).
The half-low omega-3 content balances the omega-6/omega-3 ratio in camelina oil, which is extremely beneficial for the body.
- Its exceptional content of polyunsaturated fatty acids (60 to 70%) and in particular omega 3 fatty acids – alphalinolenic acid, ALA – (35 to 45%) makes it a real functional food. With the exception of linseed oil, few plants generate as much omega 3. Camelina oil contains omega 3, omega 6 – alphalinoleic acid (16 to 25%), omega 9 (oleic acid).
- Omega-3 (ALA) present in camelina oil is good for the brain.
They promote better functioning of the nervous system, provide greater resistance to stress, while improving your morale and your mood!
- Camelina oil contains a significant amount of omega-3 (40%). It contains vitamin E, a natural antioxidant and phytosterols which have a healing and restorative action. They also reduce inflammation.
