The Brevel type bit allows for slight leverage, with a brass alloy diamond to help with salivation. The ring size is larger on sizes 5" and 5.5" so that the bit remains proportionate to the larger horse's head. Mouthpiece thickness: 16mm. Cheek height: 55mm (4.5", 5"), 70mm (5.5").
Brass Alloy Mouthpiece: Copper is alloyed with a harder metal to produce warm, durable mouthpieces that promote salivation.
Stainless steel is used for rings because of its durability, ease of cleaning, and rust resistance.
