Its double-jointed mouthpiece features an elliptical lozenge that distributes pressure more evenly across the tongue and bars of the mouth. This design promotes greater comfort for the horse while reducing the risk of pinching often associated with single-jointed bits.
The Pelham combines the action of a snaffle bit and a curb bit, allowing the rider to adjust the intensity of the aids as needed. It is particularly suitable for horses requiring more control while maintaining a soft and precise contact.
