Electro-Paste Electrolytes - 80 g is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
A premium electrolyte paste rich in potassium, sodium, magnesium, chloride, copper, and cobalt. Use to replenish your electrolyte stores before and after workouts and races. Very easy to administer orally or with food.
Electro Paste is an easy-to-administer oral paste providing balanced levels of the key electrolytes, sodium, chloride, potassium, magnesium and calcium, which are lost in sweat and urine during training or competition and are particularly important for horses on diuretics, furosemide or Lasix.
Electrolytes are minerals essential for optimal performance and endurance. They reduce premature muscle fatigue, cramps, the risk of contractures and diaphragmatic flutters, and improve post-race recovery. They perform essential functions such as muscle contractions, nerve signal transmission, water level monitoring, waste filtration, pH balance, cardiac and respiratory function, as well as proper digestion and nutrient utilization.
Electrolyte imbalances can occur when horses sweat more than 10 liters per hour or for prolonged periods. Failure to compensate for fluid and electrolyte losses, especially during hot summer days, can not only impair performance but also lead to the risk of heat stress and heat exhaustion.
For best results, ensure the horse is fully hydrated before and after the event after proper cooling.
