The Royal hock protector from Back On Track is open at the point of the hock. It is made of cotton for better fit and comfort. The closure is done with three velcros. The interior is Welltex with 50% cotton and 50% polyester. The exterior is made of neoprene offering good breathability.
The hock protector is used in the box or during transport. It is very useful in treating problems associated with inflammation of the hock joints. It can also be very useful in preventing injuries during transport or in the box.
It is recommended to put a piece of cotton with a rest strip and cover the hock protector to prevent it from sliding down. We will also avoid tightening it too much, which will limit the risk of the protection breaking when the horse lies down.
