Frog Shield Hoof Care
To maintain the sole and frog of the foot.
Every day, a horse can spend several hours in a box forcing it to stay on bedding containing urine and droppings. The horse spending most of its time in the meadow will be exposed to a very humid environment depending on the season.
The humidity and acidity of the soles can affect the soles and frogs of our horses, often making them weakened or even damaged.
Recommended Use
- Kevin Bacon's Frog Shield is a remarkable product recommended by most farriers, horsemen and professionals in the field.
- It is recommended for softened, sensitive, odorous and/or too thin frogs and soles.
- Applying Frog Shield to the sole and frog of the foot when replacing shoes and before any silicone application can help maintain the health of the sole, white line and frog.
Thanks to its integrated paintbrush, the Frog Shield is very simple and quick to use.
It adheres perfectly to the sole and frog of the foot if they are clean and dry.
Its regular application will promote good health and optimal development of the tissues of the hoof, the frog and the entire sole.
Frog Shield is suitable for all types of horses, in all seasons, shod or not.
Manual :
- Meticulously brush the sole, the gaps and the frog ( without using water! ), remove dirt and necrotic tissue. Before any application, shake the bottle for a few seconds.
- Prevention: 1 application per week.
- Damaged forks: 1 application
- Damaged fork +++: 1 application per day for 3 to 5 days (depending on severity).
